In-store product analytics: see which products get picked up, held and put back

GoTrack turns your store cameras into a product-interest report — per product, per colour, per store — without recognising a single shopper.

GoBot, the GoTrack robot, in a store

In-store product analytics measures how shoppers interact with products before they buy. GoTrack records each time a product is picked up from the shelf, how long it is held and whether it is put back, and reports it per product and colour variant, shelf zone, hour and store.

Questions it answers

  • Which products attract hands — and which are never touched?
  • Which products are picked up often but put back often too?
  • Which colour of the same style draws the most interest?
  • Which products do shoppers compare against each other?
  • At what hours and in which zones does interest peak?
  • Which screen content goes with longer holds?

Beyond the reports

Audience insightsComing

See which age ranges and genders engage with each product — as aggregate reports, never as individual profiles. In development; not active in any store today.

Weekly digest

A week-over-week summary in the panel, and by email when your mail server is connected.

Every store in one panel

Several stores and brands in one account, with team roles and a full activity log.

What it does not measure

  • Visitor numbers, unless you ask. Visitor counting is not in the standard reports; it is set up on request.
  • Identity. No face recognition and no recognising a returning shopper.
  • Sales. No link to POS data, so no “picked up, then bought” rate.
  • Size. A garment's size is not read from the image.

Questions about the analytics

Does GoTrack count people?

On request, yes. GoTrack's standard reports are about products: what shoppers pick up, hold and put back. For stores that also need visitor numbers, GoTrack can count visitors with the same cameras, anonymously and without face recognition; it is set up per project.

Can GoTrack show the age and gender of the shoppers who engage with a product?

Not today. Audience insights — age range and gender per product, as aggregate reports — are in development and are not active in any store. Today GoTrack does not estimate age or gender.

Can GoTrack send data to our ERP, loyalty or BI system?

Yes, through webhooks and exports. Each product interaction can be sent to your endpoint as a webhook signed with HMAC-SHA256, and every report can be exported as CSV or PDF. There is no ready-made ERP, POS, loyalty or CRM connector.

Can GoTrack tell marketing which products are examined, and for how long?

Yes. It reports pickups per product and variant, average hold time, put-back rate, products compared together and never-touched products. It measures how long a product is held, not how long someone stands in front of it.
