What to show on a lift-and-learn screen
The screen has the shopper's attention for the few seconds the product is in hand. What to put on it, and how to find out what works in your own stores.

The short answer
Show what the shopper cannot see by looking at the product: other colours, the product in use, materials and details, and one clear next step. Make it readable from a step away, make the point in the first seconds, and let hold time tell you which version works.
What to put on it
- Other colours and versions of the product in hand.
- The product in use: worn, on foot, in the room.
- Details up close: material, sole, stitching, what makes it worth its price.
- One next step: where the fitting rooms are, or that other sizes are available. One short line, set once for the brand.
- Nothing the product already says: the shopper is holding the label.
Screen basics
| Question | What to aim for |
|---|---|
| How long? | Make the point in the first seconds; the screen keeps showing the product while it is held |
| Video or image? | Both work; a video should make sense without sound |
| Text | Short, large, readable from a step away |
| Two products held | GoTrack shows both side by side, so each needs content that works at half the size |
| Nobody holding anything | The screen plays its idle playlist: campaigns and brand content |
Measure it
- Content performance: GoTrack shows which content goes with longer holds of the product it shows, per asset and per store.
- One change at a time: swap one product's content in one store and compare hold time and put-backs with the period before (how to test in a store).
- No touchscreen needed: the shopper's hand is the input.
Questions
Can we manage the screens in all our stores from one place?
Yes. Every store's screens are paired, grouped and managed from one web panel — content, playlists, layouts and live status — and a screen that goes offline is flagged.
How do GoTrack screens decide what to show?
When a shopper holds a product, the screen linked to that area shows that product's content, and keeps showing it while the product is held. When no one is holding anything, the screen plays its playlist. The screens do not need to be touchscreens.
Can GoTrack do lift and learn without sensors?
Yes. When a shopper picks up a product, the screen beside it shows that product's content. GoTrack uses the store's cameras, so there are no sensors, tags or pads on the products, and no touchscreen is needed.
How quickly does the screen change when a product is picked up?
In our measurement on 30 September 2026, the screen showed the product within 0.71 s of GoTrack deciding which product was in hand, in all 24 measured fires: a median of 0.35 s with one product on screen and 0.51 s with two. The time from the lift itself to that decision is not yet measured separately.
